Captain (IN) S Jayaswal (Retd) is an alumnus of Indian Naval Academy with rich and diverse experience of 34 years of serving in the Indian Navy. In his Naval career, he has been associated with training of personnel in various roles/ capacities including Officers selection at SSB as Interviewing Officer, Training Coordinator for Naval Leadership and Management courses etc. He has also been at the helm of training NCC cadets for three years as Commanding Officer 7 Kerala NUNCC at Ernakulam wherein under his tutelage NCC cadets joined IA and IAF and commissioned as Officers.

As Interviewing Officer at Service Selection Centre South, Bangalore, he has interviewed approx. 2000 candidates towards selection of Officers for Indian Navy and Indian Army.

Apart from the Naval courses, he has undergone additional ones as indicated below.

• United Nations Contingent Commander course, CUNPK, New Delhi
• Project Management Course at IIM, Ahmedabad
• UAV Observer Course at IAI, Israel
• Interviewing Officer Course at DIPR, New Delhi

Recognising the contribution made by Captain S Jayaswal (Retd) in his naval career, he was awarded the Commendation by Chief of the Naval Staff (1997) and Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Naval Command (1996).
