About Sainik Schools
Sainik Schools are a network of English-medium residential schools established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The first Sainik School was founded in 1961 with the aim of preparing young students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence academies.
